LoveQuest Website: Privacy Policy

Introduction

LoveQuest (“LoveQuest,” “we,” “us”) is building a new kind of dating experience, currently in development. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through lovequestapp.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, and how we use it, while the Site operates in its pre-launch, Early Access form.

This policy covers the Site only. It does not describe the LoveQuest mobile app, which is not yet available. When the app launches, a separate, more detailed privacy policy covering the app’s features will take effect, and we’ll notify Site visitors of the change.

Information We Collect

Early Access Sign-Up: When you join our Early Access list, we collect your first name and email address.

Quizzes: If you take the Social Values Quiz, or any quiz we offer in the future, we collect your quiz answers and the resulting style profile in order to generate and send you a personalized results card. If you provide your name and email to receive your result, we store that alongside your quiz answers.

Communications: If you email us directly (for example, at [email protected]), we keep a record of that correspondence to respond to you.

Automatically Collected Information: Like most websites, our Site generates some technical data automatically, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and general usage patterns. See “Cookies and Analytics” below for more detail on how this is collected.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Send you the emails you’ve signed up for: quiz results, Early Access updates, launch announcements, and occasional relevant news. We only send marketing emails to people who’ve opted in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Generate your personalized quiz result cards.
• Understand how visitors use the Site, so we can improve it, using aggregated, privacy-conscious analytics (see below).
• Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site.
• Respond to questions you send us directly.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

How We Share Your Information

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the Site, under confidentiality obligations, and only for the purposes above:

• Email delivery: We use a third-party email service provider to send quiz results and Early Access communications.
• Database and hosting: We use third-party infrastructure providers (including Supabase for data storage and Cloudflare for hosting and security) to operate the Site.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics, as described below.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information under the new ownership.

Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how the Site is used.

A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device to store information about your visit. On lovequestapp.com, cookies are used for:

• Essential site functionality — for example, remembering that you’ve already responded to our cookie/consent banner.
• Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns and improve the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about how you use the Site. This only runs after you’ve given consent through our cookie banner (or based on your region’s applicable default), consistent with Google’s Consent Mode. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences on the Site, or opt out of Google Analytics generally by visiting www.google.com/settings/ads or installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your Rights and Choices

• Unsubscribe: Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time without affecting any other emails you’re entitled to receive (like a one-time quiz result).
• Access, Correction, or Deletion: You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected].
• California Privacy Rights: If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we’ve collected, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. LoveQuest does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we retain a minimal record (such as your email address) to honor that opt-out and avoid re-contacting you. You can request full deletion at any time via [email protected].

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we’ve inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Site evolves. We’ll update the effective date below when we do, and for material changes, we’ll provide reasonable notice on the Site.
